In-House Laboratory

Sky Canyon is proud to offer pet families the advantages of our in-house lab. Your Sky Canyon veterinarian may suggest blood, urine, or fecal testing to check for underlying conditions or parasites that may be impacting your pet’s health. We can process these tests on-site, giving us faster results, so we can create a treatment plan as soon as possible.

Examples of our diagnostic testing capabilities include:

• Stool and urine samples

• 8-minute heartworm testing

• 15-minute results for blood panels

• 10-minute parvo testing

• Biopsies

Digital X-Rays

There are many advantages to digital x-rays, both for you and your pet. Digital radiography offers much clearer images, and your pet won’t be exposed to as much harmful radiation. We can also easily enlarge the images to take a closer look at a particular area without ordering additional x-rays, and we can transmit the images electronically if we need to consult with an outside specialist. The process is much faster, and the images can be viewed immediately, resulting in less wait time for you and less stress for your pet.
